ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

Florina Rusi Marke lived her life in a way that served as an inspiration to everyone whose lives she touched.  As a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, she embodied all the virtues that comprise the human spirit.

Florina taught by example how to love, sacrifice, and give oneself for the betterment of everyone around her…the essence of true philanthropy.

Through the generosity of Florina’s family and friends, her legacy extends from the life-saving work of a woman’s health center, the first of its kind in her homeland of Macedonia, to the life-saving work being done in her adopted home of Staten Island.

The Florina Rusi Marke Cancer Foundation strives to keep Florina’s joyous energy alive through our work to educate, raise awareness, and our fundraising efforts to help treat and cure breast cancer.
